Dance Camp February 20th & 21st 2014

We are delighted to announce our two day intensive dance camp for children between the ages of 6-14.

This camp will not only look at a dancers style, technique and dancing presentation but will also look at other core features such as fitness, stamina and how using your core can really improve a dancers overall performance.

Jig.ie and Viking Splash Tours are delighted to announce our brand new school tour!

Start your action packed day with an exhilarating and educational tour of Dublin by land and water! Our interactive Viking Guides will give a full commentary as we pass by St Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral, Trinity College and Government Buildings to name just a few of the interesting sights before splashing into The Grand Canal Basin! All splashing is outside the vehicle so no need to worry about a change of clothes!
After your Viking Splash Tour its then on to Jig.ie which is Dublin’s newest Traditional Irish Dance Experience located at the Powerscourt Theatre. The theatre is situated on the top floor of the historic Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, just minutes from Grafton Street, Dublin 2. 

Jig has devised a special “Hop Up ” for schools which is ideal for those looking for an interactive cultural experience. At Hop Up students will see our world class dancers perform and then get the opportunity to try it for themselves.

The show is fun, affordable and high energy, and is suitable for children of all ages. It is a great way to get kids involved and is a great team building and inclusive experience. It allows children to see how much fun it is to be active and shows them an impressive slice of their heritage and culture. It is an awesome way to allow children to express themselves through dance and performance and is a fantastic opportunity for a class or school group to connect and bond!

Jig are delighted to welcome home the dancers and musicians from Beijing China who were dancing at the Spring Festival in Chaoyang Park Beijing. The festival was a week long celebration for the Chinese New Year. 350,000 visitor’s witnessed performers from Greece, Australia, Russia, Spain and of course Ireland.
